NPE2009 ATTENDEE REGISTRATION OPENS, GIVING ACCESS TO MULTIPLE TRADE SHOWS, EDUCATION PROGRAMS, SPECIAL EVENTS

REGISTER Button Is Now ‘Live’ at www.npe.org; Discounts and Multi-Event Package Plans Are Available Online

WASHINGTON, DC, U.S.A., October 9, 2008: Registration is now open for NPE2009, the world’s most wide-ranging plastics event, it was announced today by The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc.(SPI), founder and producer of the triennial NPE. NPE2009 will take place June 22-26, 2009 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

By clicking on the “Register” button at www.npe.org, industry professionals encounter a menu of options that include two trade shows and four educational programs. Various combinations and discounts are available.

A single registration fee covers admission to two co-located trade shows: NPE2009 International Plastics Exposition, with 2,000 exhibiting companies; and MoldMaking Expo 2009. Registration costs US $80 in advance and $120 at the show and includes access to specialty pavilions, technology theaters, and shuttle-bus service. This fee will be applied as a credit toward the fee for any co-located educational program.

Separate registration and fees are required for attending the educational programs listed below. Information on fee amounts, package plans, and discounts is available upon clicking the “Register” button at www.npe.org. Registrants for any educational program receive complimentary trade show admission.

● ‘The Business of Plastics.’ Produced by SPI, this program will address marketing, human capital management, finance, environmental issues, regulation, global economic trends, and other matters of strategic importance to plastics business management.

● ANTEC™ 2009. Produced by the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), the annual ANTEC is the world’s largest plastics technical conference. ANTEC 2008 presented 642 original, peer-reviewed papers.

● MoldMaking Expo 2009 Conference. Produced by Gardner Publications Inc., this program will focus on technologies and strategies in moldmaking and rapid manufacturing and will include technical presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and keynote speakers.

● ‘Coatings for Plastics.’ Produced by the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT), this conference will be for professionals who specify and use coatings on plastics, as well as coating manufacturers and raw material suppliers.

Online housing registration will open at www.npe.org in January 2009.

The NPE2009 international plastics exposition will take place June 22-26, 2009 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. A total of 2,000 companies will exhibit on 1,000,000 sq.ft. (93,000 sq.m), more than a third of them coming directly from outside the U.S. About 75,000 plastics professionals from 120 countries are expected to register.
